Student Shots - Quinault Photo Workshop

Last weekend, I taught a Fall workshop @ the Quinault Lodge in Olympic National Park. The weather was superb, students sharp, and scenery excellent. We made two field trips on Sat.--The Maple Glade Old Growth Trail in Quinault and sunset @ Ruby Beach.

Below are a few student images--I think they did pretty freakin' awesome:)

Recently Published

National Geographic used some of my work for a recently published book in their educational series. The Adventure and Exploration chapter includes a reading selection + photography from my Ribbon Of Road trip followed by a multiple choice quiz. I think that I failed the quiz but figure that kids these days are much smarter than I am:)

The good crew at Adventure Cycling also used a picture for their Fall 2008 Catalog cover shot.

A few Climate Ride Shots

The folks from Climate ride asked me to come out and document their event from New York to D.C. on two wheels. This movement is something I believe in and was pretty excited to participate...and sleep on picnic tables in public parks again (I only like tents when it's raining). The weather was perfect, conversation focused, and support outstanding. Here's a few shots along the way.

Photo-Workshops In the Olympic Rainforest

In Sept. & Oct. I'll be teaching two Fall digital photography workshops at one of my favorite places, the Quinault lodge in Olympic National Park's Quinault Rainforest. We'll be hitting both the rainforest with some of the oldest and most spectacular trees in the world and Kalaloch beach coastline. Evenings will be enjoyed over wine, great food, and slide shows--it should be a great time!

Cheers,
