Dr. Seuss-a-borg

At the tail-end of my road trip, it seems that many shots are getting a bit "Dr. Seuss-ey"--maybe it was the Turkey or...maybe it's time to make my way back home to Seattle for a few days in one place.

Arches All-Nighter

One last Hot Spring dip followed-up by some Colorado single-track and Don Thomas was back at work in Boulder while I'm crossing Utah en-route to California.

The National Parks in Utah have some of the most pristine nighttime skies of anyplace on earth. That means that midday naps, sunsets/moon-rises followed by all-night trekking to sunrise/moon-set--searchin' a nice location to shoot under the stars and the early morning (like last night in Arches National Park) is the norm for me these days. Not a bad gig.

Last night in a nutshell:

New Mexico

With Don Thomas dropping into the mix in Denver, we rolled from Taos to Santa Fe, NM to Durango, CO. Hot springs and have not to be missed along the route as high desert snow storms and temps in the teens are the nightly norm.
